Heyes Family

…………..Ive been inspired by someone else’s blog.  You see, I was bored yesterday, so decided to nosey through the links on Aleighs blog, and I came across this cute little blog where a mom posts the different hairstyles she does on her little girl.

 So, with Erin’s hair getting longer by the day, I decided to see if she would sit still for a hair session in the bathroom.  She did really well, and this is the result! 

Oh, and of course, never to be left out, Kristian insisted on a style of his own!

Also, the kids are feeling MUCH better today, so we may even try to get out of the house… Yeah!!!!

Several have asked when I’m going to update the blog, but the truth is, not much has been happening!  Our lives have been at a stand still for the last week, due to colds, and Erin teething.  Unfortunately she is getting all 4 eye teeth in at once, and my week has involved whining+++, and then dashing off the gym when Ste gets home, to keep my sanity! 

I can not believe how good these photos turned out that Logan and Elissa took!  So, I’m advertising for Brattan Photography via our blog!   Thank you again Braatens, your work is AMAZING!

We had a wonderful vacation in Montana, that unfortunately ended in bad roads home.  It was a LONG haul home, however, we did manage to stay out of the ditches!  In MT there was lots to do with the cousins, including swimming, cookie decorating, and playing in the snow.  And, thanks to Bratten Photography, we got some awesome photos of the kids taken!  Here are a few pictures of what we got up to…  visit FLICKR for the whole deal.

…….The moment we have been waiting for for MONTHS….  Erin took her first steps!  Yeah… hurrah for Erin!!!  We noticed that she had been standing unsupported alot yesterday, so we encouraged her to walk between us, and the little Missy did it… 5 steps all at once!  We all  must have cheered for about 10 minutes….  This is a BIG event in Erin’s life So, maybe she will be walking by herself soon as she builds up her confidence.  We are having a lovely and white holiday in Montana, and of course, the kids are loving being at Grandma Marys and playing with their cousins!   I don’t think Grandma minds having them around either

Kristian is getting to the age where he wants to have a say in what he wears…  this is the result today!

We finally purchased a little kitchen thanks to Craig’s List!  We have been wanting to get one, as we think it will be great for encouraging standing activity for Erin, and also keep her out of MY cupboards for a while!  Well, it seems to be a hit, and already, we have seen Erin playing at it, standing unsupported!  So that is promising!  And speaking of kitchens, Kristian has showed a big interest in cooking/baking lately… so I put him to work… He did REALLY well with the peeler… in fact, he whittled this carrot down to nothing!

So.. It turns out, Erin got REALLY excited about the deer butchering… see her two little knives???

So this post is about Kristian…  this morning he threw his helicopter on the floor, breaking off the propeller.   So… he promptly went to the kitchen to get some tools…  here is a link to a video of him “fixing it!”
